George Fox University announces an adjunct faculty position in The College of Business teaching Business Statistics, to begin in August 2021.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Primary teaching responsibilities involve teaching two business statistics classes in the fall and two in the spring. This is a foundational course in our business core of courses.
* Course Description for Business Statistics: Statistical procedures with applications in management and economics. Emphasis on the development of a basic knowledge of the statistical tools available for analysis of problems and decision making. Prerequisites: MATH 180 College Algebra or higher math course, or an SAT math score of 620 or higher or an ACT score of 28 or higher.
* The classes are presently scheduled for the fall and spring semesters. If necessary, the times can be adjusted to suit the adjunct's schedule.

Qualifications

* M.S. or higher is required in Mathematics or another related field with preference given to candidates holding an advanced degree. Knowledge of business and how to apply statistics to business is also necessary.
* Applicants should have professional experience in industries and/or teaching experience in related fields.
* Instructors will be expected to meet class regularly, manage and give feedback on assignments, be available for communication with students, and work professionally and collegially with all students and faculty.
* A commitment to working with a diverse population of students is essential; demonstrated experience in this area is preferred.
* All applicants must express a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and express their Christian testimony in a local church. In addition, professors agree to live in agreement with the Community Lifestyle Statement and affirm the theological commitments expressed in the Statement of Faith.
* Candidates must have legal authority to permanently work in the U.S. and employees of George Fox University must be a resident of one of the following states: Oregon, Washington, California, Idaho, New York, Ohio, or Texas.
