OverviewWe are the future! Kashiv BioSciences is a fully integrated biosciences company with an expanded and dynamic platform for growth including advanced drug delivery technologies, biosimilars, prodrugs, and a large development pipeline.We are looking for an Associate Scientist to join our Piscataway, NJ Upstream Manufacturing team. Graduates with a theoretical knowledge of cell biology and encouraged to apply.This function is responsible for the development and execution of cell culture processes for the manufacture of Kashiv assets.

Responsibilities:
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesAs a member of a skilled team of scientists and engineers, you will Perform cell culture and bioreactor operations at multiple scales.Establish operating equipment specifications and improve manufacturing techniques.Review data to conduct on- line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment.May assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.Works with other teams and outside vendors to resolve technical issues as well as maintenance of production equipment.Writes batch records, protocols, routine reports and other technical documents.Ability to interpret and provide instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Should follow GMP instructions in the manufacturing area and take the lead to follow environmental health and safety policies.Coordinate the conduction of investigations and corrections for issues found during the batch execution process.Perform other duties as required of the Manufacturing Team.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Bachelors or Masters degree in Bioprocess/Biochemical/Chemical Engineering or related Biological Science.Required Experience and Skills:Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.Experience working in a biological laboratory and familiarity with general laboratory procedures and safety.Excellent organization, interactive, verbal and written communication skills.Preferred Skills:Direct experience with cell culture/fermentation, upstream process development or expression system development for vaccines and/or biologics is strongly preferred.Demonstrated broad knowledge base in routine cell culture and sterile techniques. Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture proceduresOperation of automated small-scale bioreactors and/or bench-top reactors a plus.Writing and reviewing technical documents with a basic understanding of regulatory requirements.Work Environment & Physical Demands:General work environment and physical demands as required to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to work flexible hours as needed. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Some travel may be involved.We invite you to apply.
