Description:
This faculty member will spend their clinical time primarily in the Neuro ICU at Grady Memorial Hospital, but may also choose to practice at Emory University Hospital.Neurocritical Care attendings are expected to teach and supervise residents, fellows, and advanced practice providers and participate in research within a chosen sub-specialty area.The clinical expectations and academic goals associated with this position are generally summarized as follows.Clinical service in the Neurosciences ICU is typically scheduled in 1-2 week blocks, alternating coverage with other physicians, not exceeding 2-3 weeks of clinical service per month.Call responsibility would be in the ICU only and would be shared equitably among all physicians in the unit, typically 1-2 weekend on-call/on-service per month.No expectation to participate in outpatient clinical activities.Emory University is a leading research university that fosters excellence and attracts world-class talent to innovate today and prepare leaders for the future.
