Laboratory Manager, Nursing
Overview:
Under the direction of the Department Chair, the Laboratory Manager will coordinate and incorporate evolving curriculum changes into the instructional labs, assist with proposals for grants and orient faculty to equipment used during instructional labs.
Responsibilities:
Manages and conducts inventory of supplies and equipment.Monitors budget and places replenish orders.keep abreast of new equipment used in the field of nursing, and obtain information on said equipment for consideration of purchasing.Maintains safe working function of equipment and environment. Trains lab members in lab safety, experimental design, and data interpretation. Prepares monthly summaries of student and faculty use of lab/equipment.Generates data reports.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Nursing (Masters preferred).Experience/certification with high fidelity simulation.Knowledge of Academic Electronic Health Record (AEHR) system.One (1) year in supervisory lab position.Proficient in basic nursing skills.Familiarity with High Fidelity Computer system, AEHR and video recording for simulation.Knowledge of office computer for scheduling, ordering, inventory, medication labels, and correspondence.
