Simulationist (Nursing Instructor)

Seattle University College of Nursing invites applications for a Simulationist, with the faculty title of Instructor, to begin January 1, 2022.

The Simulationist works within the Clinical Performance Lab (CPL) reporting to the Director of the CPL. This individual is responsible for the organization, and successful implementation of high-fidelity simulated clinical experiences. The role will also have influence in low and mid-fidelity simulation as needed. This individual will work with the Simulation Technician(s) to ensure faculty are supported integrating simulated clinical experiences into College of Nursing courses. Applicants will have opportunities to contribute to the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs.

The Simulationist will have responsibilities in the areas of simulation coordination (30%), simulation management (20%), and faculty support of simulated clinical experiences (50%). Instructor responsibilities include teaching and service.

Required: A Master's degree in nursing. Applicants must be eligible for Washington State licensure as a registered nurse and one year of experience teaching in a simulation environment. A Simulation Education Certification is preferred, or within one year of hire.
