Instructor/Assistant Professor of Forensic Science
Job Summary
Methodist University is seeking candidates for a full-time position in the Criminal Justice department to begin in January 2022. The position may be either on or off the tenure-track, depending on qualifications. Rank dependent upon qualifications. Successful candidates will have expertise in forensic science, digital forensics, or both. Special consideration will be given to applicants with experience teaching in fully online and hybrid classroom environments and to applicants with teaching and scholarly experiences that align with the Methodist University commitment to fostering equity and inclusion in all our university practices.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include teaching a 4/4 load, student mentoring, and scholarship, as well as university and community service.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Master's Degree in Forensic Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field from a regionally accredited institution; or extensive field experience in crime scene investigation.
- Successful completion of a criminal history records check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Forensic Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, or other related discipline
- Applicants with expertise in Digital Forensics should hold certifications such as ACE (Access Data Certified Examiner) and OFCE (Oxygen Forensic Certified Examiner) or equivalent, or be able to secure them in a reasonable time frame upon hire.
