IUPUI Mechanical Engineering Technology Adjunct Faculty

The Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) program in the School of Engineering & Technology at IUPUI is searching for adjunct faculty to deliver courses in the (MET) program beginning Fall 2021. A Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent is preferred, along with at least four years of relevant experience. Desired areas of expertise include Fluid Power and Controls, AutoCad, SolidWorks, and Thermodynamics.

Job Requirements:
  • Prepare syllabus and teach assigned course based on course outline
  • Note preparation time will vary based on instructor experience in teaching that course
  • Produce courses and supporting training materials including instructor's guides
  • Teach classes in computer concepts, applications, and foundational concepts of information technology
  • Provide course related guidance for students and student projects
  • Note preparation time will vary based on instructor experience in teaching that course
  • Provide students with class/laboratory objectives
  • Communicate class content to students so that learning
  • Follow approved curriculum/course outline
  • Engage students in the learning process
  • Use teaching technology, as required in course syllabus
  • Meeting the learning needs of students
  • Providing quality instruction to students through well prepared classes
  • Prepare all course materials and lessons
  • Provide and sustain an effective learning environment for every student through well prepared classes, relevant assignments, fair and holistic assessment of learning, clear documentation of student progress
