Description:
The Department of Economics in the Sam M Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of assistant professor in the field of economic development beginning in Fall 2022. We invite applied econometricians working on issues in low-income countries to apply. In addition to competitive compensation, the college provides resources including start-up packages and excellent technical support.

Required Qualifications: (1) A doctoral degree in economics with a field in economic development; (2) the potential to produce high quality academic research in leading journals and secure external research funding; (3) a commitment to high quality teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Applicants are expected to have earned a Ph.D. in economics by August 12, 2022.

Preferred Qualifications: (1) Applied econometricians with experience working with micro data; (2) Candidates with a research focus that complements those of our current faculty (international trade and behavioral/experimental economics); (3) Experience with field experiments is a plus.
