Job Summary
The Department of Chemistry in the College of Science at Purdue University invites applications
for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in Analytical
Chemistry. Successful candidates may have interests in any research area of analytical
chemistry, defined broadly.
Candidates must have a PhD in chemistry, or a related field, with outstanding credentials in
research, an excellent track record of or potential for leading publications and a strong
commitment to excellence in teaching. Successful candidates are expected to develop
(Assistant Professor) or to have already established (Associate Professor) a vibrant research
program supported by extramural funding, display excellence in teaching at the graduate and
undergraduate levels, and promote a diverse and inclusive environment in the Department.

With 50 full-time faculty, 350 PhD students, and over 300 outstanding undergraduates, Purdue's
highly ranked chemistry department is one of the largest and most diverse in the country. The
wide-ranging expertise of the faculty enables fast and effective responses to interdisciplinary
