Full Time, Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Psychology

The University of Findlay invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in psychology at the level of assistant professor. Psychology program faculty welcome applications from individuals interested in joining our active and collegial department. The preferred start date will be August 2022 unless a qualified applicant is found sooner. If a qualified applicant is found sooner the start date could be as early as January 2022.

Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to providing an excellent undergraduate education, the ability to maintain an active research program, a passion for mentoring undergraduates in research, and an interest in engaging in service to the department, college, and university. Candidates should have expertise that would enable them to teach either clinical-related courses or social/evolutionary-related courses. Teaching responsibilities also include foundational courses (for example, introductory psychology or research methods) and special topics courses in the candidate's area of interest.

A doctorate from an accredited institution in psychology is required by the start date. Review of applications will begin October 15th, 2021 and the position will remain open until filled. The candidate must possess strong communication skills and a desire to work with students in a university setting that prides itself on providing close relationships between students and faculty. The University of Findlay assumes responsibility for the assignment of faculty to courses and committee assignments, student advising, and input for curriculum planning. The rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications for the position.
