Job Description
George Fox University announces a part-time, adjunct instructor position in Nursing, to begin in the fall or spring semester, as needed. The College of Nursing is seeking an adjunct clinical instructor who is enthusiastic about educating the next generation of nurses in our growing pre-licensure baccalaureate program. The ideal candidate will provide clinical instruction in off-campus clinicals and on-campus simulations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Teach clinical courses within the curriculum of the College of Nursing. Various clinical courses include Fundamentals, Med-Surg, Maternity, Population Health, Mental Health, and Capstone.
  • Assess and evaluate clinical students on an ongoing basis throughout the semester.
  • Establish and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Develop and maintain professional working relationships with healthcare agency professionals and other campus educators.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of a BSN and at least two years of full-time equivalent nursing experience.
  • Current, unencumbered Oregon RN license.
  • Excellent professional interpersonal, organization, and communication skills.
  • A commitment to maintaining consistently high professional standards.
  • A commitment to working with a diverse population of students is essential; demonstrated experience in this area is preferred.
  • All applicants must express a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and express their Christian testimony in a local church. In addition, professors agree to live in agreement with the Community Lifestyle Statement and affirm the theological commitments expressed in the Statement of Faith.
  • Candidates must have legal authority to permanently work in the U.S. When employed by George Fox University, employees must be a resident of one of the following states: Oregon, Washington, California, Idaho, New York, Ohio, or Texas.
