Environmental Health and Justice. Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies, tenure-track position, to start in September, 2022. PhD in a related field is required. We seek an active and engaged colleague who has research and teaching strengths in environmental health and justice (interests may include, but are not limited to, built environments, climate justice, disaster preparedness, and environmental epidemiology). The successful candidate will teach seven courses per academic year (3-1-3), including Introduction to Environmental Studies, Environmental Justice, and an upper-level course in Environmental Health in line with their area of expertise. Ability to also teach GIS or Research Methods would be beneficial. The ideal candidate will be interested in working with undergraduate researchers.

Participation in an interdisciplinary, values-oriented general education program is required, including a regular rotation in the two-semester first-year program. Eckerd College, the only independent national liberal arts college in Florida, has a tradition of innovative education and teaching/mentoring excellence. The college is situated on a 188 acres waterfront campus on Tampa Bay and located in close proximity to several cities including St. Petersburg and Tampa, allowing for access to community resources and engagement.
