Job Responsibilities

Oversee the development and implementation of Jersey College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through classroom, clinical teaching, and service to Jersey College

Serve as a role model for and provides leadership to faculty

Create an environment that fosters faculty and students' academic growth and guides their professional development

Undertake roles and responsibilities outlined in the Business and Administrative Procedural Manual

Oversee, manage and support financial operations of the nursing programs

Manage Associate Dean and Program Chair

Oversee instructional activities, including:

Manage clinical test-out

Ensure that faculty follow school policies and procedures, including but not limited to:

Audit of instructors regularly

Staffing/Training

Student Assessment

NCLEX Prep

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications/Competencies:

Current license in State as a registered professional nurse

3 + years of working experience in the area of education

3+ work experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care

Licenses and Continuing Education Required by Regulatory Bodies (e.g., Valid RN license, Proof of Continuing Education credits, Proof of Interaction with Workforce, etc.)

Ability to maintain and report on student information and track record of achieving goals

Exceptional student/customer service, listening, and teamwork skills

An outgoing, approachable style and a passion for helping students succeed

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Plans for maintaining competencies

Required Education:

Master's Degree or Higher in Nursing
