Position Number: D97731
Now in its 14th year, the PSU BSW Program is the only CSWE accredited undergraduate social work degree offered in a public institution of higher education in Oregon. PSUs BSW Program emphasizes critical thinking, innovative pedagogy, and anti-oppressive and equity-aligned social work practice. Instructors who demonstrate an interest in and ability to realize the mission, values, and vision of the SSW and the BSW program are strongly encouraged to apply, particularly those with knowledge of and demonstrated commitment to racial equity, healing-centered liberation and abolition practices, transformative and restorative justice, and critical, anti-oppressive, and social justice-oriented frameworks.
This position is open to instructors interested in teaching in Portland, Oregon, and/or in our online program. Each academic year, there is a need to hire adjunct faculty to teach. While there is no guarantee that a course you are interested in and qualified to teach will be seeking additional instructors, qualified instructors are frequently hired to teach across the curriculum.
The BSW Program will collect applications on an ongoing basis to fill vacancies throughout the academic year. Review of applications occurs as new sections or instructors are needed.
