A Staff Scientist position is available at City of Hope (COH) Beckman Research Institute. The High Throughput Screening (HTS) Core under the Shared Resources at COH provides services of assay development, assay optimization, high throughput screening, and lead optimization. The HTS Core plays a critical role in early phases of drug discovery, we are equipped with automated HTS system for the screening process, 100,000+ small molecule compound libraries, and highly trained and experienced staff. We are currently seeking a highly motivated scientist to join our dynamic team in joint effort with COH investigators to identify and optimize novel compounds for cancers and diabetes. We are seeking the candidate who will be excited about drug discovery, motivated to bring new therapies to patients, and have a desire to work in a fast-paced team environment. The candidate will have a track record of deep technical knowledge in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, assay development (cell based as well as biochemical assays), pharmacology, and a demonstrated ability to execute in a goal and team focused environment. The successful candidate will bring special skills, knowledge, and experience to research programs in the institutional core laboratories.
