YOUR ROLE
  • Research and develop groundbreaking technologies
  • Identify opportunities for new technology, products or performance improvements
  • Lead one or multiple R&D projects critical to the business
  • Actively make specialized knowledge available to the organization
  • Act as an ambassador for the scientific community of Henkel Adhesive Technologies both internally and externally
  • Identify and engage valuable external partners
  • Responsible for new research, IP, publications, technology roadmap
  • Secure IP position in own area of development
  • Steer and facilitate knowledge sharing and support project teams in solving problems
  • Act as an advisor for management and steering committees
  • Contribute actively in scientific publications and forums with papers and presentations

YOUR SKILLS
  • Master in Polymer Science, Polymer Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
  • Preferably with background in reactive chemistries such as polyurethanes, silane-modified polymers, epoxies
  • Strong communicator to internal stakeholders (Sales, Technical Customer Service, Project Management) and customers
  • Knowledgeable user in MS Office and web-based search tools (e.g. Scifinder)
  • Statistical methods (e.g. Design of Experiment) as a plus
  • Fluent English language skills
