If so, this Investigator - Clinical Histotechnology role could be an exciting opportunity to explore. This laboratory-based scientist will provide histotechnology assay development and application to clinical drug trials within a GCP environment. The individual will evaluate biomarkers in tissue sections from patient biopsies by chromogenic immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunofluorescence (IF), in situ hybridization (ISH), high multiplex imaging mass cytometry (IMC) and digital spatial profiling (DSP) using automated staining methods. Advanced image analysis methods are then used to quantify tissue biomarker expression to drive clinical efficacy and\or safety outcomes. Data is delivered to clinical teams as oral presentations and written reports. This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following: Demonstrate a deep knowledge of histotechnology and its application to delivering novel and challenging biomarker assays. Translate a clinical project team's biomarker needs into validated histological assays and act as a scientific expert in discussions on project progression. Develop, optimize, and validate novel single and multiplex IHC//IF/ISH/IMC/DSP methods using automated commercial platforms such as Ventana Discovery Ultra, Leica Bond RX, Fluidigm Hyperion and Nanostring DSP. Be proficient in all aspects of sample processing including embedding, microtomy, frozen sectioning and histochemical staining. Use microscopy, whole slide scanners and image analysis software to generate qualitative and quantitative analytical data and advance the development and application of Artificial Intelligence approaches to support immunophenotyping.
