We are looking for a SAFE Registered Nurse to join our extraordinary nursing team at University of Maryland Shore Regional Health.

* Provide crisis intervention during the initial review and an assessment of injury.
* Objectively document health history to determine the bio/psycho/social risk and the risk of medical sequelae.
* Collect, document and package forensic evidence for crime lab analysis.
* Delegate the role of patient advocate to a rape crisis volunteer.
* Provide medical and psychological follow-up referrals.
* Provide expert testimony in court.
* Respond to any subpoenas on cases examined while associated with the SANE program.
* Attending required 8 hours (minimum) of continuing educational offering seminars focusing on sexual assault victims.

What You Need to Be Successful:

* BSN preferred
* FNE (adult or PED or both) strongly preferred
* 1+ years of RN experience is strongly preferred
* Meets licensing requirements to practice registered nursing in the State of Maryland.
* Must meet all applicable state and local professional requirement
