Work Hours/Shift: Full Time/Days You Will Be Responsible For:

Qualifications

What You Will Need:
  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related specialty area
  • 5 or more years of nursing practice experience with a minimum of 3 years in Emergency Department
  • Minimum of one year of practice in which leadership and teaching compentencies have been demonstrated
    • LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
    • RN license
    • ACLS, PALS, BLS

Job Summary:

The Clinical Educator, Emergency Department integrates education, leadership, and teaching to improve patient care and develop nursing practice through promoting competence and adoption of evidence-based practice standards through orientation, skills validation and ongoing education and evaluation. The ED Educator serves as a mentor and leader, provides expertise in the development of educational offerings and implementation of educational programs. Involved in specialty organizations that promote use of current knowledge and skills in the provision of patient care.
