We have an opening for an entry level Associate Scientist I laboratory position open that will be needed to be filled in the Finished Products Pharmaceutical department. This position is a permanent position, full-time 40 hours a week Monday through Friday role on first shift at Pace Analytical Life Sciences, LLC in Oakdale, MN.

This position doesn't offer relocation assistance or sponsorship. Candidate needs to be local to the Twin Cities.

Summary

We are actively seeking candidates to support our Laboratory operations in our Oakdale, Minnesota facility. The ideal candidate is one who will thrive working in a highly dynamic, team oriented environment; sharing the common goal of providing reliable data to our clients that can be used to improve the safety and effectiveness of materials produced and used in pharmaceutical and medical device products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but not limited to:

* Perform routine laboratory activities in support of testing medical devices and pharmaceutical products utilizing appropriate instrumentation including polarimeter, UV-Vis, Dissolution apparatus, pH, Osmometer and automated titrator.
* Support method transfer and validation activities within operational area with supervision and support from laboratory supervisors, principal staff, and/or senior staff
* Support the process of compiling, analyzing, interpreting, and documenting results
* Assist with laboratory investigations
* Participate in quality, cGMP, safety, method and technique training appropriate for their area

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and Experience:

Four-year degree in Chemistry, Materials Science or Physics; Previous laboratory work experience desirable. Must have strong interpersonal skills, strong communication, appropriate technical skills, technical writing skills, problem solving skills, ability to multi-task, interact with multiple groups in a team oriented environment, plan, implement, and review continuous improvements.

Mobility to work in a lab and office setting, use standard office and lab equipment and stamina to sit for extended periods of time; exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects; vision to read printed materials and computer screens; and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone.

Working Environment:

Work is performed in a lab and office setting. Work is subject chemicals, fumes, gasses, noxious odors and related items in a lab setting.
