Recruits study participants and ensures that subject recruitment and follow-up are completed per protocol procedures. 5. Orders and maintains inventory of supplies. May assist in designing, developing, and modifying research experiments, procedures, or survey instruments. May assist research and support staff. 6. Performs additional functions incidental to research activities.
Required Education and Experience
Six years of related work experience, four of them in the same job family at the next lower level, and high school level education; or four years of related work experience and an Associate's degree; or little or no work experience and a Bachelor's degree in a related field; or an equivalent combination of experience and education.

Research Assistant I position available in Pediatric Endocrinology, in the lab of Dr. Nicola Santoro. The lab has several ongoing clinical research studies, with a primary focus on investigating the role of the gut microbiome on metabolism in youth. This position is a great opportunity for those who are interested in learning clinical research methodologies. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to interact with both patients and healthcare professionals in the hospital, clinic, and laboratory settings. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: clinical data collection, data quality management, recruiting and interacting with pediatric patients for clinical studies, performing lab experiments, and biospecimen processing. We seek candidates with a strong desire to contribute to patient-oriented research.
Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:
Prior experience in a research lab or hospital and knowledge of Spanish. Use of MATLAB, SAS.
