Position Summary:Franklin Pierce University is excited to announce an opening for a full-time faculty member for the Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) Program at our West Lebanon, NH campus.

The Franklin Pierce University MPAS Program is committed to collegial collaboration amongst all members of the team, across all phases of the program. Core faculty will work closely with the MPAS faculty and staff and will be primarily responsible for assisting in the administration of the program, including curriculum development, delivery, and review. In addition to teaching, assignments may include didactic and clinical course coordination, oversight of clinical experiences, academic advising, participating in institutional activities and committees, facilitating quality learning experiences for students, and evaluating students' performance in cooperation with other faculty. Teaching assignments currently include content in basic sciences, professionalism/professional behavior, ethics, clinical reasoning and skills, and patient education. Teaching assignments may change based on program needs and on the faculty member's interests and skills.

Qualified candidates will possess at least a Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field, including MD, DO, or Ph.D. The successful applicant will have prior teaching experience, preferably in physician assistant studies, and be dedicated to excellence and innovation in teaching; be willing to establish/maintain an agenda of scholarly work; contribute to university service, and demonstrate a commitment to professional standards and contemporary practice. Must be knowledgeable of current physician assistant practice standards and roles. Candidates must hold, or demonstrate eligibility for, a license to practice in NH and/or VT, if a physician assistant. NCCPA-certification is preferred. Candidates who have experience in clinical education with Nurse Practitioner credentials or a PA-C with a Master degree in progress will be considered.
