Quality Assurance Specialist II

Key Contributions
  • This is a more experienced position requiring sound knowledge of quality assurance systems and procedures.
  • Works on more complex, non-routine projects/assignments where analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors.
  • Exercises judgment within well-defined and established procedures and practices to determine appropriate action - identifies problems and generates alternatives and recommendations within defined processes.
  • Coordinates planning, organization, and implementation of projects within specified objectives.


Document/Project Support:

Must be a self-starter, well organized, and very detail oriented with experience in the Pharmaceutical and/or Medical Device industries. Will be performing the following tasks:
  • Manages document revisions to support Projects and CAPA closure
  • Creates/revising training related documents
  • Creates training programs
  • Performs routine tasks in accordance with SOPs
  • May perform trending
  • Be proficient in word and excel
  • May provide on the job training to others
  • Must be able to gown in a controlled environment and be in a manufacturing setting
  • Communicate well inter and intra-departmentally


Job Responsibilities
  • Performs a wide variety of activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Participates in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure quality objectives are met.
  • Maintains routine programs and processes to ensure high quality products and compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Laboratory Practices GLPs).
  • May participate in the writing of training programs regarding all aspects of producing quality products.
  • Works with Engineering and Product Lifecycle Management during new product start-ups, and identifies checkpoints for new products and processes.


Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
  • 6+ years of relevant experience, HS diploma, and a Certificate to FETAC level 6 (GSL)
  • Prior experience in a cGMP related industry is desirable, within Biopharmaceutical or Pharmaceutical industry preferred.
