Our mission is to unlock human potential. We welcome you for who you are, the background you bring, and we embrace individuals who get excited about learning. Bring your experiences, your perspectives, and your passion; it's in our differences that we empower the way the world learns.

About the Role:

Are you ready to lead content acquisition for one of the world's best-known learning brands? Dummies has been delivering serious knowledge not so seriously for thirty years to audiences around the globe. We're looking for a data-oriented publisher who knows how to build content-driven experiences that meet current and future consumer needs in books and digital formats.

You'll lead a driven editorial team that uses insight, market research, experience, and collaboration to deliver an unparalleled program of new publishing. Your world will span every corner of learning from math to music; Apple Watch to artificial intelligence; and Bollywood to beekeeping.

Using solid commercial experience, you'll work with a team across books, websites, and licensing to deliver a pipeline of content that is financially successful and powers opportunities under existing and new business models. Collaborating with editorial and production teams, you'll support and enrich the quality of Dummies learning.

How you will make an impact:
  • Lead the content acquisition team.
  • Drive an evolving culture of decision-making based on data-backed insights.
  • Represent Dummies across the business.
  • Partner with sales and marketing colleagues to drive book success.
  • Be a senior leader in a cross-functional team delivering the future of Dummies.

What we look for:
  • Emotional intelligence.
  • Passion for developing social and emotional skills and building a healthier organizational culture.
  • A bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Extensive and proven experience working in content acquisition and people management.
  • A clear understanding of content business models and the current book sales environment.
  • An ability to think creatively, craft innovative solutions, thrive in fast-paced environments, prioritize and oversee multiple projects at once, have attention to detail, and work well with cross-functional teams.
  • A track record for translating strategic thinking into action plans and output.
  • Intermediate-level knowledge and proficiency is required in:
    • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
    • Proven analytical skills (web analytics and reporting tools)
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to build strong relationships across and outside the organization.
