The Procurement team plays an important role in supporting colleagues in procuring a diverse range of goods, services and works which are critical to the successful operation of the University. As a Procurement Manager you will support Senior Category Managers in delivering a variety of procurements across a broad range of categories within a university environment.

The Higher Education sector is changing and so is the procurement service. Having expanded the team to ensure our procurement and contractual arrangements reflect the University strategy by embedding a category managed approach, delivering value for money through high quality arrangements.

As a member of the team, you will need a high level of commercial acumen, experience of delivering an end-to-end procurement process and the ability to build strong, productive relationships with a diverse stakeholder group - including academic and research staff, heads of the University's professional services functions and key external suppliers and partners.

You should have previous experience of preparing tender documentation, ensuring compliance with internal & external procurement regulations, concluding & awarding contracts and delivering savings & associated benefits. Please see the job specification for full role details.
