*Description:*

The Assistant Dean of Programs will carry out tasks related to program implementation at the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Implement and manage various aspects of programs, the Hofstra-Digital Remedy Venture Challenge and Bootcamp, the ideaHUb incubator and Maker Space, The Hofstra Veterans Venture Challenge, Entrepreneurial Assistance Center, SuperCAP, focusing on event coordination and integrating promotion, marketing, and project management.

* Participate in contracts management and processing for grants and contracts associated with the ideaHUB incubator and future grant funded programs.

* Coordinate workshops for students, clients of the ideaHUb incubator and businesses participating in the EAC program.

* Manage an internship program for the ideaHUb and support student consulting groups.

* Originate and contribute to written materials, including reports, grants, strategic plans, etc.

* Plan, implement, and promote events, including logistics such as event registration and set-up, marketing, and logistics.

* Develop presentations to market the work of the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

* Work with consultants on various grant-funded projects on program implementation to ensure program goals are achieved.

* Supervise the work of all student assistants, developing and monitoring their projects.

* Interact with other departments at Hofstra to ensure collaboration and administrative needs are met.

* Support and participate in new program implementation and development.

*Qualifications:*

* Bachelor's Degree required.

* Minimum of three to five years of professional experience and previous business or academic experience.

* Detail-oriented individual.

* Strong writing, communication, inter-personal, and computer skills.

* Flexible schedule (early mornings, evenings) may be required based upon events.

* Knowledge of Business Model Canvas and Lean Launchpad methodologies preferred.
