We are currently recruiting for the following positions for the 2021-2022 school:
  • Dean of Students

All our staff members share the undying belief that maximizing student achievement is their primary goal. The Dean of Students is an essential part of the leadership team, responsible for working closely with students, teachers, and parents to maintain a positive school culture that promotes academic and character growth.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Promote the Vision, Mission, and Core Values of PSA.
  • Promote a positive school culture focused on high character development standards.
  • Implement PBIS and Character.org principals to ensure consistency and application across the staff.
  • Serve as part of the leadership team in leading the school community in achieving the mission of the school, with a focus on academic leadership.
  • Promote and model productive communications and teamwork among school staff and parents.
  • Assist all students, individually or in groups, with developing academic, career and personal/social skills, goals, and plans
  • Provide individual and group counseling to students with identified concerns and needs
  • Consult and collaborate effectively with parents/guardians, teachers, school leadership, and other educational/community resources regarding students with identified needs and concerns
  • Communicate with parents about specific student concerns.
  • Implement student discipline per school rules/policies with students, staff & parents.
  • Supervise and facilitate certain school events as directed by the Principal.
  • Assist staff with the creation and alignment of classroom student behavioral expectations and classroom management plans.
  • Assist in the planning, development, and implementation of student behavior plans.
  • Attend appropriate meetings regarding student growth and success (IEP and 504 case conferences, parent meetings, expulsion hearings, etc).
  • Assist in the maintenance of the crisis management plan and school safety requirements.
  • Be active in the school community and events.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
  • A Masters' degree in Educational Leadership or a related field
  • Experience and degree in school counseling (preferred)
  • Arizona Department of Education Certification
  • Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
