The Department of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (GHN) at The University of Texas
MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a candidate for a full-time faculty position at the academic rank of Associate Professor, Term Tenure Track. The preferred candidate should be an established leader in the field of cancer therapy related gastrointestinal disorders and be able to develop a clinical and translational research program in this area.

The candidate will be expected to conduct clinical trials and investigate novel treatments for the management of cancer therapy related GI toxicities and study the role of gut microbiome in these conditions. This position offers the opportunity for professional growth and development, the successful candidate will be joining an active group of clinicians and basic and translational research investigators.

The successful candidate will closely interact with leaders of ongoing clinical and research programs within the institution with a focus to develop novel and systematic management strategies for gastrointestinal disorders secondary to cancer treatment regimens. The faculty member will have access to GHN's substantial patient care resources, core and animal facilities as well as educational programs.

The faculty member will be required to demonstrate clinical and research excellence, actively contribute to the education and mentoring of house staff and junior faculty. Experience in clinical/translational research and clinical trials in this relevant field is required.

Applicants must have a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree and be eligible to practice in the State of Texas and approved by the Texas Medical Board. Board certification in the Gastroenterology and Hepatology is required.
