The ELT Platform includes a large collection of unique DNA-encoded libraries (DELs) and continually develops new DELs and new technologies for screening these libraries against multiple diverse protein targets of interest. This role will be a key contributor to the team that processes and analyzes ELT screening data to enable post selection chemistry decision making. Contribute to the exploration of new analysis methodologies as they apply to Encoded Library Technology and/or small molecule discovery associated data Contribute to documentation and training materials as part of full lifecycle management to ensure embedding in the scientific organization Improve current hit identification processing scripts Basic Qualifications: BS in STEM field Working knowledge of organic chemistry and cheminformatics Experience applying cheminformatics methods including chemical structure based clustering and similarity searches to inform the process of drug discovery Experience programming in a high-level general-purpose programming language such as Python and experience working in a Unix/Linux environment Experience with cheminformatics software including RDKit Experience with high performance computing Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated success in contributing to the delivery of analytics solutions in Biopharma or large academic collaborative efforts in a life science field Familiarity with pipeline workflow software such as KNIME or Pipeline Pilot Experience working in a matrix environment with input from life scientists, tech, and data analysts Experience working with analytics and visualization software such as TIBCO Spotfire Excellent communication skills The Encoded Library Technologies (ELT) group at GSK operates at the leading edge of drug discovery where at any given point we are seeking affinity probes or starting points for medicinal chemistry for dozens of projects across the entire research portfolio.
