The role
The School of Humanities is looking for a capable and skilled Executive Assistant to support its research projects, in particular the Leverhulme-funded research project The Literary Heritage of Anglo-Dutch Relations 1050-1600 and the related outreach project North Sea Crossings , funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
What will you be doing?
Based in the School of Humanities, the job will involve assistance in the organisation of research events, including the final project conference, maintaining and enhancing the project websites, liaising with internal stakeholders and with external project partners and providing administrative assistance with the preparation of documentation to professional standards. The post-holder will work closely with Project Directors Professor Ad Putter (English Department) and Anne Avery (Flash of Splendour) to assist with the running and promotion of the projects and with the associated organisational and financial administration of project events and meetings. This post is offered part time 4 hours/week.

Excellent organisational skills are required along with a high standard of IT skills and the ability to interact with various office systems. Well-developed communication skills are essential as the post holder will be dealing with a wide range of colleagues on a daily basis.
