A Biostatistician role in Rockville, MD is now available through Adecco Medical and Science. In this role, the contractor will independently provide support services to satisfy the overall operational objectives of the client. The primary objective is to provide services and deliverables through performance of support services.

Deliverables:

Work products and documents related to creating clinical trial protocols; developing and writing analytic plans; planning and conducting power calculations for new and existing analyses Work products and documents related to providing statistical support for analyzing data sets for publication, developing, and executing innovative strategies for the analysis of clinical trials. Work products and documents related to writing code to execute data analysis; providing interpretation and context to results of analysis; completing data set; writing statistical sections in manuscripts; interpreting referees' comments on manuscripts. Work products and documents related to performing quick statistical analysis on data at hand; assisting staff in assembling data sets; assisting staff in completing analyses in whichever software the staff member uses; providing of statistical methods in manuscripts; providing literature review related to analyses used in comparable studies.
Work details:

Assists in performing a variety of data management and analytical tasks and organizing complex, large scale datasets. Independently perform a variety of data management and analytical tasks and organize complex, large-scale datasets Utilizes statistical software packages to manage, maintain and analyze large, complex statistical datasets. Assist in the creation of clinical trial protocols, including parallel-arm, crossover, and adaptive designs Documents analyses performed and prepares progress reports summarizing results. Independently perform power analyses and provide sample size recommendations for new protocols Performs a variety of data management and analytical tasks and organizing complex, large-scale datasets. Independently conduct statistical analyses on completed and ongoing clinical trials, applying variety of statistical techniques and practices Use a range of standard and non-standard statistical software packages for projects and is able to translate among the most common packages including R, SPSS, and SAS Conducts statistical analyses on completed and ongoing studies utilizing a wide range of standard and non-standard statistical software packages for all projects. Review, summarize relevant literature and other sources to develop analytic plans Reviews and summarizes relevant literature and other sources to develop analytical plans. Learn and apply new statistical methods and software packages and provide consultation training to other analysts and staff Learns and applies new statistical methods and software packages and provides consultation and training to other analysts and staff. Research and analyze new developments in biostatistical methods and applications Communicate the details of statistical analyses and results in a clear and understandable manner Document analyses performed and generate reports summarizing results
Additional Qualifications:
Education Qualification: Master's Degree Ability to Communicate Software use: Data management tool, SAS, SPSS Field of Study: Statistics and Decision Science
