Assistant Professor of Physics - tenure track
The Department of Physics at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) invites applications for a tenure-track ASSISTANT PROFESSOR position in data-driven analysis of biophysical systems to start in Fall 2022. We seek an outstanding candidate with a strong record of research in the development of advanced algorithms for the study of the structure and dynamics of biophysical systems. This appointee will collaborate with the NSF Science and Technology Center "Biology with X-Ray Lasers."
The successful candidate is expected to establish a vigorous, extramurally funded research program, train students (undergraduate, M.S., and Ph.D.) and postdoctoral associates, and contribute to the Physics curriculum, including courses in advanced data-driven techniques. We encourage applications from members of groups that are typically under-represented in science.
