Job Summary

We are seeking a Discovery Bioanalytical Research Associate (DMPK Bioanalytical) for our Discovery site located in South San Francisco, CA.

We are seeking Research Associate candidates that are early in their careers and are highly motivated, enthusiastic and possess a passion for learning. This position will be involved in all aspects of studies supporting the bioanalysis of drug molecules in multiple matrices. This position is ideally suited to recent graduates who enjoy a fast-paced and collegial environment. The individual in this position will be responsible for working hands-on and under the direction of more senior staff in a dynamic environment where teamwork, data quality, innovation and speed are valued.

The following are minimum requirements related to the Discovery Bioanalytical Research Associate position.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with colleagues at various levels
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to details
  • Independently perform routine sample extractions and LC/MS analyses with guidance
  • With minimum guidance, independently perform non-routine sample extractions and LC/MS/MS analyses
  • Competency in reviewing data to ensure acceptability against defined specifications, emerging abilities to assess data quality and suitability under broader objectives
  • Proficiency in the use of standard software including Microsoft® Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Ensure compliance to all company policies, procedures and applicable regulations.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent in a scientifically related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 6 months related experience in the contract research or pharmaceutical industry.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
