The successful applicant will join and work with the team in the Office of Academic Affairs, including the Associate Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, the Assistant Deans for Pre-Clinical and Clinical Academic Affairs, Director of Instructional and Curricular Innovation, Director of Assessment, and nine support staff positions including a clinical skills laboratory technician to be hired with input from the individual in this position.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated and have an innovative approach to advancing clinical skills instruction, including learning and assessment.

Thus, this is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the development of these courses at the ground level. The College has a split campus with the first- and second-year instruction occurring on the main campus of the University of Georgia while the third- and fourth-year instruction is conducted at the Veterinary Medical Center (VMC). The majority of clinical skills instruction will occur on the main campus. At the main campus location there is a dedicated laboratory for teaching surgery. A dedicated teaching space including holding areas and housing for large animal species is currently under construction. Additionally, starting in the fall of 2021, a five thousand square foot building will become available as dedicated space for conducting different aspects of clinical and professional skills instruction.
