This is an exciting opportunity to be part of small, specialized and highly influential team within our global product organization. As Editorial and Commercial Support Analyst, you will partner with the commercial support, strategy and editorial team to develop and support growth performance across. Your insights will support our editorial organization and impact decision making across the global journal portfolio. You will shape the use of data-driven decision making, combining financial acumen with publishing intelligence. This position reports to the Director of Editorial Product Commercial Management within Wiley's Editorial Product organization with a matrix reporting line to the Director of Strategy.

How you will make an impact:

You will be responsible for supporting a wide range of activities, including but not limited to:
  • Working with Editorial and Financial stakeholders to develop accurate and credible article performance reporting and forecasts;
  • Ensuring timely delivery of key monthly and quarterly Editorial and Financial analysis and commentary;
  • Assessment of editorial key performance indicators, tools and workflows to turn strategy into editorial management practices;
  • Providing and supporting tools to improve editorial decision-making;
  • Contributing to impactful operational and strategic analyses and creating ad hoc analyses from data spanning multiple systems;
  • Helping to translate Wiley's strategy and key opportunities into long term editorial and financial results.

We are looking for people who:
  • Have a high degree of achievement, drive and interest in helping to push strategic initiatives and change across an organization;
  • Have 2+ years in an analytical role including planning, budgeting, forecasting or statistics, or 2+ years in research publishing with a strong foundation in journal business models and markets;
  • Are extremely proficient with Microsoft tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI;
  • Have a data analysis and/or statistical modeling background;
  • Have the ability to manage competing priorities, adapt quickly, and learn new tasks independently; be a flexible, adaptable and forward thinking individual;
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills with experience summarizing analysis and preparing presentation materials for executive leaders
