Position Function:
The Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine has an immediate opening for a clinical track faculty position in Veterinary Oncology.
Salary Grade: UC
Please see Staff Compensation Structure or Skilled Crafts and Service Maintenance Compensation Schedule for salary ranges. For salary grade UC, these positions are "Unclassified" and salary ranges are determined by the hiring department.
Area of Specialization:
Veterinary Oncology
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Teaching responsibilities include didactic teaching and clinical training of professional students, technology students, interns, residents, and graduate students Service responsibilities involve clinical case management, rotating emergency duty, and consultation with private practitioners. Participation in the college's continuing education and clinical research program is strongly encouraged.
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualifications include DVM (or equivalent veterinary degree) and residency training in Oncology.
Preferred Qualifications:
Diplomate status in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine Oncology is preferred, but individuals eligible for final certification examination will also be considered. An advanced degree and experience is clinical research are desirable.
