We are seeking a Registered Nurse to:

Join our remarkable Medical/Surgical Float team.
Be part of a wide variety of high-level nursing skills such as evaluating med/surg patients, administering care, recognizing complications and coordinating with other members of the team.
Take part in the interpersonal communication, leadership, strategic planning, critical thinking, as well as decision-making that is a part of the Med/Surg float team.
Be a part of the Remarkable learning opportunities at a Level One Trauma Center, Magnet-designated facilityand world-renowned academic health system. Education:

Preferred - Baccalaureate degree in nursing.

Work Experience:

Minimum - One (1) year relevant medical surgical experience in an acute care setting.

Preferred - Two (2) years relevant experience. Telemetry experience.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum - Registration as a professional nurse in the State of Wisconsin. CPR certification.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Experience providing care to a diverse population of patients/families.
Commitment to providing nursing care that is patient and family centered.
Compassionate, non-judgmental, respectful and accountable.
Knowledge regarding quality improvement and standards of care within practice area.
Experience in teaching patients and families.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to effectively delegate and supervise the work of other nursing team members. Physical Requirements:

Medium: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Work Schedule:

This is an Evening position with eight (8) hour shifts between 1500-2330. Weekend and holiday rotation required. Hours may vary based on operational needs of department.
