Are you committed to outstanding service delivery?

Can you confidently coordinate an evening team across 4 libraries, supporting our customers and the team though the challenges non office hours can present?

The Library's evening coordinators are responsible for staff management and operational supervision of the Library's evening team. Working across all 4 libraries, you will ensure staff are deployed appropriately in order to maintain the service to our customers and the security our buildings, and to troubleshoot service and technical problems. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the broader development of our services.

You should have experience of supervising and training staff, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. With a strong commitment to best practice in staff management, you will be able to lead and motivate your direct reports. In this busy environment, you will need to be able to prioritise and balance your own work and that of others.

A good team player, you will be expected, as part of the team of Customer Services managers, to contribute to the broader development of library services. Experience of working in a busy public service environment, and an understanding of the academic/university would be desirable.
