The College of Business at the University of Alabama invites applications for a full-time renewable clinical instructor in Strategic Management starting January 1, 2022, or August 15, 2022. Preference will be given to candidates with a demonstrated record of success in teaching at the collegiate level, and experience in a top-level management role.

Qualifications include a MA in Strategic Management or a closely related discipline or an MBA from an AACSB accredited (or equivalent) university by the start date of the appointment. The successful candidate will be dedicated to quality teaching, mentoring of students, and contribution to service. Salary and benefits are AACSB competitive including significant support for professional development.

The Culverhouse College of Business (http://www.cba.ua.edu/) was established in 1919 and in 1929, became the 38th school to earn admission into the American Association of Collegiate Schools of Business. The excellence of the UA business school has been acknowledged on a national level. In 2020-2021, our undergraduate program is ranked 28th among public business schools, and the MBA program was ranked 22nd among public universities and 44th overall, according to U.S. News & World Report.

Minimum qualifications:
Five years of experience in an entrepreneurship or a strategic management related position, and at least a master's degree in business or a related field with significant graduate course work in business related disciplines.

Candidates with a management/business related PhD, DBA, or JD are also encouraged to apply.

Preferred qualifications:
Senior executive or Small-business owner experiences. Experience in private or public sector work (i.e. community development). Previous university teaching experience. Strong collaborative skills, the ability to multitask and mentor college students, and exceptional interpersonal skills.

Salary is competitive.

These positions are non-tenure earning positions renewable for three-year periods at the discretion of the University with no expectation of continued employment beyond any three-year contract period. Continuation of this appointment to its scheduled termination date is dependent upon meeting the departmental and college performance standards and compliance with all policies in the faculty handbook and general UA employment policies.
