We are seeking a Registered Nurse to:

Join our new Thoracic Surgery team.
Help implement innovative ideas so quality patient centered care can be provided.
Be part of developing a dynamic general care/IMC unit utilizing strong teamwork, providing compassionate care and employing critical thinking.
Engage in acquiring new skills and integrating evidence-based nursing practices into the unit culture. Education:

Minimum Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Preferred Baccalaureate degree in nursing.

Work Experience:

Minimum One (1) year relevant clinical experience.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum Registration as a professional nurse in the State of Wisconsin CPR certification.

Preferred ACLS Certification (may complete within six months of hire).

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Knowledge regarding quality improvement and standards of care within practice area.
Experience in teaching patients and families.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to effectively delegate and supervise the work of other nursing team members. Physical Requirements:

Medium: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Work Schedule:This is a Day/Evening position with variable (8) eight and (12) twelve-hour shifts. Every third weekend. Holiday rotation required. No On Call. Hours may vary based on operational needs of department.
