Overview:
This position is a full-time faculty position with administrative duties. As a full-time faculty member, the Faculty member will be responsible for teaching 2 undergraduate classes during the fall and spring semesters in their field of specialization, keep office hours, suggest changes in curriculum, advise students, and all other duties associated with being a full-time faculty member. In the role as an administrator, they will assist with administrative and academic tasks as assigned by the Dean. Under the direction of the Dean, the Faculty member assumes a leadership role and may include but is not limited to the following tasks: course scheduling; monitoring and reporting institutional outcomes for Middle states ; monitoring curriculum quality, faculty mentoring; hiring of faculty ;completing annual self reports; submit program data, serve on college-wide committees, attend meetings, hold faculty meetings, be involved in recruitment of students, oversee registration each semester; resolving student complaints, addressing academic integrity issues, etc.

Responsibilities:
Abide by responsibilities of teaching, service, and scholarship as articulated in the Faculty Handbook. Respond daily to student emails and inquiries. Teach two undergraduate courses per semesterfall and spring. Maintain office hours. Advise assigned group of students. Keep current in teaching fieldsubject matter and pedagogyand propose curriculum changes as needed. Any other faculty-related projects or duties as assigned by the Dean. Write recommendation letters and provide guidance for graduate school applications. Maintain certification and licensure by completing required continuing education.In the administrative role, this person will work under the direction of the Dean to: Provide leadership assistance in planning, implementing, evaluating, modifying and assessing current and new programs. Assist with overseeing the development of workshops/presentations, recruitment events and materials, new student orientation, business development opportunities, and website/ social media promotional initiatives and postings. Assist with resolving students academic problems. Assist with the recruitment and mentoring of adjunct faculty. Assist with the schools assessment and strategic plans. Collaborate with other undergraduate divisions and departments, as well as the Touro Graduate programs. Any other administrative-related projects or duties as assigned by the Dean.

Qualifications:
Masters level or Doctorate level degree in Speech-language Pathology and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence, State licensure; Doctorate preferred. Five years of clinical experience. Preference will be given to individuals with experience in teaching/academia. Ability to work with and be respectful of individuals and teams of diverse academic, religious, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds. Ability to collaborate across departmental units. Team player with positive attitude. Creativity and an entrepreneurial spirit. Effective communicator in oral and written mediums.
