Job Summary
The College of Public Health is seeking an Assistant Professor to engage in methodological work supporting the mission and funding mechanisms of the Biostatistics Consulting and Interdisciplinary Research Collaboration Lab (Biostat CIRCL) via the Institute of Biomedical Informatics. This will include developing and conducting research projects as part of the Biostat CIRCL as well as independent research collaborations.
The faculty member will be expected to prepare applications for contract and/or grant funding. The faculty member will support the implementation of the biostatistics collaborative research model by leading the methodological contributions to interdisciplinary biomedical research teams. These contributions may include designing studies, overseeing the generation and/or management of data, leading or conducting analyses, offering innovative methodological solutions, and interpreting empirical findings in a manner that is appropriate for the biomedical research community and the public. Evidence will be demonstrated via abstracts, presentations at professional meetings, and scholarly publications in peer-reviewed journals. Faculty in this role will be critical for providing statistical, computational, and organizational contributions to
projects and processes of the Center.
No regularly-scheduled teaching activity will be assigned.
