TTUHSC is seeking a Chair for the Department of Cell Physiology and Molecular Biophysics to provide strategic and operational leadership and reports to the Dean of the School of Medicine.
Major/Essential Functions
The Chair will be responsible for leading a world-class research-focused department and for maintaining an excellent externally funded research program. The Chair should possess a strong record of innovative scientific discovery and maintain a well-funded research program. The department's research is currently focused on the structure and function of membrane proteins in health and disease. Preference will be given to candidates whose research focuses in the area, but all candidates with a strong record in research will be considered. Candidates should have leadership skills commensurate with a world-class research-focused department and a commitment to inclusive excellence.
The successful candidate will be a strong leader and have a proven track record of administration, education, and research, as well as a keen understanding of the complexities of an academic department in a medical school.

- MD / DO / PhD
- Degree in specialty or skill taught in the department.
