Outreach and Continuing Education(OCE) at Western Washington University expands and diversifies Western's offerings throughout the Puget Sound region, the state of Washington, and globally to provide learning options for the contemporary student.

About the PositionOutreach and Continuing Education seeks to develop a pool of qualified individuals to teach non-credit workshops and professional development courses to the communities served by Western. Appointments will be on a temporary, as needed basis, teaching schedules will be planned in conjunction with the appropriate OCE unit. This position is not full time and is not eligible for benefits.

Individuals interested in proposing a new program should reach out to the appropriate OCE unit.

This vacancy pool serves the following programs within Outreach and Continuing Education:

+ Professional and Continuing Education

+ Specialized/Customized Programs

+ Employee Language Program

Position Responsibilities

+ Plan and develop curriculum in conjunction with OCE unit, following appropriate industry standards (if available)

+ Collaborate on the development and dissemination of program materials

+ Deliver instruction according to contracted dates and times

+ Participate in events associated with the specific program

Required Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree or industry-standard certification and/or endorsement

+ Demonstrated professional experience in area of specialization

Preferred Qualifications

+ Master's or doctoral degree

+ Experience teaching in professional or continuing education programs

+ Experience teaching in college or university settings

+ Additional credentials or certifications in the area of specialization

Salary

Commensurate with experience and qualifications
