Position Highlights:
This position will contribute to the research and educational missions of the College of Health Sciences by teaching courses within the Bachelor of Science (BS) in Imaging Sciences Program, as well as other duties associated with an active faculty appointment in the college. The faculty member's annual assignment is negotiated with the Program Director and is based on the needs of the program. This tenure-track position provides excellent opportunities for teaching, clinical activities, research, and scholarship. This position exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Position Responsibilities:

Serve as the coordinator and a primary course instructor for courses offered within the college at the discretion of the Program Director, possibly including but not limited to sectional anatomy, pathophysiology, pharmacology and medical imaging physics and advanced radiation biology.
Develop, deliver and evaluate instruction, to include course goals, objectives, learning activities and student evaluation methods (examinations, projects, assignments, etc.).
Council and advise students; review student prerequisites and approve enrollment.
Assign relevant projects and assignments, providing timely and meaningful feedback to facilitate learning.
Coordinate courses and programs, as assigned.
Serve on the program's admissions committee.
Conduct independent research in the faculty member's area of specialty, including publication of peer-reviewed research.
Seek out and pursue externally-funded grant opportunities.
Participate on college-wide and university-wide committees.
Organize and manage Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JCERT) accreditation procedures for the Imaging Sciences Program (BS.MRI/BS.CT/BS.CVI/).
Qualifications:

Master's degree in radiography, health sciences, education, or related field required.
At least two years of practical experience in the field required.
PhD degree in a field appropriate to providing academic leadership for the Imaging Sciences Program is preferred.
Current licensure in the state of Illinois OR licensed in another state and eligible for licensure in the state of Illinois as a Radiographer required.
Registered Radiographer (RT) and either Interventional Radiography or Magnetic Resonance Imaging or Computed tomography (CT) credentials from The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
Interdisciplinary clinical and educational training experience to include ability to demonstrate knowledge in current teaching methods and trends required (clinical coordination experience considered).
Current active membership in related professional associations required.
