What will you be doing?

You will be providing advice on a wide range of legal and commercial issues.

The work is varied and challenging, rarely are two days the same.

We are seeking commercial lawyers who can deal with a range of commercial contracts and who might also have particular expertise in any of the following:
  • procurement law
  • data protection and information governance
  • IT law and contracts
  • IP law
  • educational agreements
  • corporate/corporate governance
  • construction/property.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercial contracts lawyer looking for a varied role with a high level of responsibility and the opportunity to develop a range of skills in a friendly yet stimulating environment. Come and join our supportive and highly motivated team.

You should apply if

You will be qualified as a UK solicitor or barrister (with current practising certificate/equivalent) and will have the confidence and experience to work independently and give sound advice in the context of the University's aims, objectives and strategies.

Experience of working in the higher education sector would be useful.

Strong interpersonal, organisational and IT skills are essential.
