Visiting Assistant Professor in Business Law - John Chambers College of Business & Economics

The Department of Management in the John Chambers College of Business and Economics (B&E) at West Virginia University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor starting in August 2022. Joining date of January 2022 might also be possible in some cases. The appointment is renewable annually for a period up to two years. This job position is primarily to support business law and related courses in the Chambers College. Salary and benefits are competitive in relation to other business schools accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Salary and benefits are appropriate for experience and qualifications. The position and start date are subject to budget approval.

The primary areas of responsibility are teaching (80%) and service (20%). The teaching load will be four courses each semester. These courses would be across undergraduate and graduate courses (face-to-face, online, or hybrid).

To be considered for this position, candidates should have earned a terminal degree in law prior to the position's start date. Candidates must have the background and ability to teach courses relevant to business law at the college level. Preference will be given to those with a record of scholarly activity within the last 5 years (e.g., publications in peer-reviewed journals, conference presentations, editorial board service).
