The ECU, College of Nursing is seeking a time-limited, part-time Clinical Research Nurse. This position functions with a high level of independence and directs the team in the conduct of the grant activities that lead to accomplishment of overall objectives. Directly trains family caregivers of patients living with dementia and provides continuing education lectures, screening and education at events co-sponsored with area experts (for example, screening participants and providing education based on analysis of screenings at community events, teaching concepts and techniques of the Positive Approach to Care model of caregiving with people living with dementia, etc.). They collect required data and manages the recording and analysis of data. The position leads and/or participates with the team in the dissemination of results through submission of abstracts for poster, podium and article publication. The ability to function independently and lead at the community sites are largely dependent upon her vast expertise with community partners, patients and families and her knowledge of the processes required in the conduct of federally funded program grants.

Position duties for this role include:

* The ability to independently and effectively establish community partnerships and collaborate with those partners to schedule and deliver community events that meet grant outcomes.
* Must develop, implement, evaluate and revise curricula that facilitate the accomplishment of the grant outcomes and meet learning needs of the participants.
* Must be able to critically analyze the participant responses during community events and quickly and effectively adapt presentations, agenda and activities to meet the identified needs of those participants.
* Must demonstrate experience working effectively with those from different socioeconomic backgrounds from the applicant to establish community-based events.
* Establishes service that includes board representation at local, regional, state and/or national levels, participates in grant meetings and national calls, and holds membership in appropriate coalitions or groups that strive to meet needs of aging citizens or those living with dementia.

Selected individual will be expected to accommodate after normal business

hours and weekend appointments that may require up to 8 hours.
