['Senior Manager, Government Programs and Pricing SystemsLocated in Foster City, CAGilead Sciences, Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company that has pursued and achieved breakthroughs in medicine for more than three decades, with the goal of creating a healthier world for all people. The Senior Manager, Government Programs and Pricing Systems will report into the Director of Government Programs and Pricing. The successful candidate will be contributing to a high performing Government Pricing team.
  • Act as primary Model N® "Power User" for the Government Pricing Module
  • Interfaces with systems support and IT to address operational issues with SAP and Model N.
  • Provide guidance and expertise in use of Model N® technology as it relates cross-functional platforms.
  • Utilizes in-depth knowledge of the Model N application to optimize system configurations and thoroughly test changes that impact the system and pricing calculations. Informs upstream business partners of GP requirements concerning data granularity and system setup.
  • Analyzes calculation results and assists the GP team in identifying the source of variances that are observed period over period.
  • Leverages strong communication skills to advocate with and influence key stakeholders.
  • Proactively pursues opportunities to implement process excellence through automation of processes and institution of industry best practices.
  • Understanding concepts related to the calculations of Average Manufacturer Price (AMP), Best Price (BP), Average Sales Price (ASP), Non-Federal Average Manufacturer Price (NFAMP), Texas Net Price, 340B Public Health Service (PHS) Ceiling Price, Federal Ceiling Price (FCP), and Unit Rebate Amount (URA).
  • Lead the issue identification process, including tracking, recommendations and implementation.
  • Demonstrate leadership excellence in project management and effectively managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Strong team ethic and proven ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Good analytical skills, demonstrated by the ability to identify and understand complex issues and then developing appropriate cross-functional solutions
  • Advanced planning and organizational skills, including ability to follow tasks/assignments through to completion


Basic Qualifications:5 years of Model N (advanced to intermediate experience)
Bachelor\'s Degree and Eight Years' Experience

OR

Masters\' Degree and Six Years' Experience

OR

Ph.D.

Preferred Qualifications:5 years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industryMBA or other advanced degreeSystems experience & skills: Data mining, Tableau, Alteryx, SAP and SQL skills.
