About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to manage and coordinate the successful delivery of our equality charters. The role will ensure the implementation of action plans and an efficient, timely submission for the University to the evaluating bodies.

You will be a member of our newly shaped EDI Team and will work in partnership with members of the EDI Team, Chairs / Sponsors of Charter Self-Assessment Teams (SAT) and specialists from functions across the University to lead the planning and delivery of specified projects. This will include establishing project governance, developing and monitoring action plans, providing regular status reports for stakeholders and ensuring appropriate risk and issue management processes are embedded. A primary focus will be to ensure that required Charter outputs are produced to a high standard and completed at the required time.

You will be a positive and proactive problem solver and able to manage often-conflicting priorities at the same time. You will be a strong team player, professional, clear thinking under pressure and be dynamic in your approach. You will have a skill level equivalent to achievement of HND, Degree, NVQ4 or basic professional qualification. Proven project management skills to include knowledge and experience of project management techniques and tools.
